One vertical penstock shaft, Ø4.04m. 435m length.

Project description

One vertical penstock shaft in Tyin Hydro Electric Plant. Selmer Skanska AS are building the new hydropower plant for Norsk Hydro AS. They will use the old water reservoir, Tyinvattnet, but are building new tunnels and powerhouse.

Equipment on Site

Robbins 97 DC, Sandvik reamer and cutters.

Project duration

October 2002 - April 2003.

Special Features

During December - February snowmobile or helicopter will be the only means of transportation to site, due to snow.
