Reamers

Raise boring is the most common application for reamer heads. The reamer head is fitted on the drill string and pulled towards the machine. For raise boring there are three different types of reamer heads.

The Extendable Reamer Head is a reamer head fitted with segments. These segments enables to reduce weight and dimensions during transport due to the reamer head can be disassembled into smaller pieces. It´s also enables to change the size of segments and hence change the diameter of the shaft.

The Non Extendable Reamer Head is fitted with segments. These segments enables to reduce weight and dimensions during transport due to the reamer head can be disassembled into smaller pieces. With this type of reamer heads it´s not possible to change the diameter of the shaft.

Integral Reamer Head are manufactured for a specific diameter. This type of reamer head can’t be disassembled for less weight and dimensions during transport. There is also no possibility to change diameter of the shaft.
