Changing from pilot bit to reamer head

1. When the pilot hole is accepted, the pilot bit is dismantled and the reamer head is connected. The reamer is attached to the drill string with the help of a wheel loader or similar and then used as support when maximum torque is applied to tighten the connection between the stem and first stabilizer.

2. Before attaching the reamer as above the reamer is dressed with cutters and assembled with a stem (or stinger) for the desired diameter and bottom assembly.
